FluoProtect + Hoechst
One-step ready-to-use aqueous mounting medium with antifading effect. Contains Hoechst 33258 for counterstaining.
Description
FluooProtect + Hoechst is an aqueous mountant with antifading effect. In addition it contains Hoechst for counterstaining nuclei and mounting in one step. Hoechst 33258 has an excitation maximum at 350 nm and an emission maximum at 461 nm. Hoechst 33258 can be excited with a xenon or mercury arc lamp or with an ultraviolet laser.
The fluorescence will remain for many weeks if specimen are stored dark.
Storage
The solution should be stored at +4 °C in the dark and has a shelf life under these consitions of 1 year minimum.
