Adenosine-5'-[(β,γ)-imido]triphosphate (AMP-PNP) is a non-hydrlyzale analogue of ATP, used to study ATPase activities, energy storage and metabolism in vitro and to keep ATPases constitutively active. Proteins like actin and myosin have a functional ATPase activity, where AMP-PNP is used for analysis.
