ATP
250 mM, pH 7.4 | 2x units
Cat. #: 5124-01
Applications
Suited to supplement all buffers and solutions buffered at ~pH 7.4.
Description
| |
| Product name |
ATP, Synonyms: Adenosine 5′-triphosphate, ATP disodium salt |
| Product description |
Adenosine 5′-triphosphate (ATP) is a central component of energy storage and metabolism in vivo. Proteins such as actin and myosin have a functional ATPase activity.
ATP 250 mM is pre-adjusted to pH 7.4 after reconstitution with 1.0 ml ultrapure water. Adding this ATP stock helps maintain the pH of buffered solutions and avoids the rapid pH drop that can occur when dissolving ATP powder directly; additional pH adjustment of the buffer is typically not required. |
