Product description

Adenosine-5'-(3-thio)-triphosphate (ATPγS) is used as a non-hydrolyzable analogue of ATP, to study energy storage and metabolism in vitro. Proteins like actin and myosin have a functional ATPase activity, where ATPγS is used to keep the ATPase constutively active.

Quantity

Powder: 100mM ATPγS, 50mM Hepes titrated with NaOH to pH 7.4. Sterile filtered before freeze-drying. Weigh into the tube 50 mg of ultrapure H₂O, corresponding to 50 µl ultrapure H₂O, to obtain a fresh 100mM stock solution.

Storage instructions

ATPγS is stored at –20°C upon arrival. The product will be stable in performance for at least 1 year from the date of purchase. Solubilized ATPγS can be aliquoted and stored at -70°C for use within 3 months. Thawed aliquots should be used within 1 week. Avoid refreezing.
