Product description
|
Rapid staining of single actin filaments with Rhodamine Phalloidin. Phalloidin is a bicyclic peptide of a family of toxins isolated from the Amanita phalloides “death cap” mushroom. The peptide is commonly used as a selective stain or counterstain to specifically label F-actin in fixed or permeabilized cells, and cell-free experiments. Labeled phalloidin conjugates bind in a stoichiometric ratio of about one phallotoxin per actin subunit in both muscle and non-muscle cells, and have similar affinity for both large and small filaments. Phalloidins do not bind to monomeric actin and have a stabilizing effect on F-actin.
