PlexPure® Donkey Anti-Guinea Pig IgG (H+L) ATTO488 is an antigen-affinity-purified fluorescent secondary antibody for selective detection of guinea pig primary antibodies in immunofluorescence, multiplex fluorescence imaging and related fluorescence-based assays. Following antigen-specific affinity purification using guinea pig IgG, the antibody is ultra cross-adsorbed against purified immunoglobulins from ten non-target mammalian species: donkey, human, mouse, Syrian hamster, horse, goat, rabbit, rat, bovine and sheep IgG, together with chicken IgY. This defined PlexPure® purification strategy is designed to reduce non-target species reactivity in complex multiplex antibody panels. ATTO488 has an absorption maximum at 501 nm and a fluorescence maximum at 523 nm, producing green fluorescence. The conjugate is efficiently excited within the 480–515 nm spectral range and is optimally matched to the widely available 488 nm laser line. High fluorescence output and pronounced photostability support sensitive detection, repeated scanning and prolonged image acquisition in conventional and high-resolution fluorescence microscopy. ATTO488 is established for single-molecule detection and advanced imaging methods including PALM, dSTORM and STED. PlexPure® Donkey Anti-Guinea Pig IgG (H+L) ATTO488 is antigen-specific; affinity purification removes essentially all donkey serum proteins, including immunoglobulins not specifically binding to guinea pig IgG. Following conjugation to ATTO488, the antibody is further purified by size-exclusion chromatography to remove unbound dye and low-molecular-weight reaction components. The conjugate is supplied without preservatives or protein additives such as BSA. |
