ATTO-labeled secondary antibodies combine strong fluorescence output with high photostability and reliable performance in fluorescence-based detection. Donkey Anti-Rat IgG (H+L) ATTO390 is designed for the detection of rat primary antibodies in immunofluorescence microscopy, multiplex fluorescence imaging and related fluorescence-based assays.
ATTO390 has an absorption maximum at 390 nm and a fluorescence maximum at 476 nm. The resulting large Stokes shift of 86 nm provides broad spectral separation between absorption and fluorescence and can facilitate channel discrimination in appropriately configured multiplex experiments.
Donkey Anti-Rat IgG (H+L) ATTO390 is antigen-specific; affinity purification removes essentially all donkey serum proteins, including immunoglobulins not specifically binding to rat IgG. The antibody is conjugated to ATTO390 and further purified by gel filtration.
The conjugate is supplied without preservatives or protein additives such as BSA. Following dye conjugation, the antibody is further purified by size-exclusion chromatography to remove unconjugated dye and low-molecular-weight reaction components.
