| Description |
ATTO-labeled secondary antibodies combine strong fluorescence output with high photostability and reliable performance in fluorescence-based detection. Donkey Anti-Rat IgG (H+L) ATTO490LS is designed for the detection of rat primary antibodies in immunofluorescence microscopy, multiplex fluorescence imaging and related fluorescence-based assays. ATTO490LS has an absorption maximum at 496 nm and a fluorescence maximum at 661 nm. The resulting large Stokes shift of 165 nm provides broad spectral separation between absorption and fluorescence and can facilitate channel discrimination in appropriately configured multiplex experiments. Donkey Anti-Rat IgG (H+L) ATTO490LS is antigen-specific; affinity purification removes essentially all donkey serum proteins, including immunoglobulins not specifically binding to rat IgG. The antibody is conjugated to ATTO490LS and further purified by gel filtration. The conjugate is supplied without preservatives or protein additives such as BSA. The post-conjugation size-exclusion purification removes unconjugated dye and low-molecular-weight reaction components. |
