ATTO-labeled secondary antibodies combine strong fluorescence output with high photostability and reliable performance in fluorescence-based detection. Donkey Anti-Rat IgG (H+L) ATTO565 is designed for the detection of rat primary antibodies in immunofluorescence microscopy, high-resolution fluorescence imaging, multiplex staining, selected super-resolution microscopy workflows and related fluorescence-based assays.
ATTO565 has an absorption maximum at 563 nm and a fluorescence maximum at 592 nm. The resulting Stokes shift is 29 nm and supports bright orange-red fluorescence detection and effective channel separation in appropriately configured imaging experiments.
Donkey Anti-Rat IgG (H+L) ATTO565 is antigen-specific; affinity purification removes essentially all donkey serum proteins, including immunoglobulins not specifically binding to rat IgG. The antibody is conjugated to ATTO565 and further purified by gel filtration.
The conjugate is supplied without preservatives or protein additives such as BSA. Gel filtration following dye conjugation removes unconjugated dye and low-molecular-weight reaction components. The preservative-free formulation supports sensitive fluorescence-based applications and may also be used for live-cell surface staining when the primary antibody recognizes an accessible extracellular epitope.
The antibody is supplied as 1.0 mg lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. A glycerol buffer is included for reconstitution to 2 mg/ml. After reconstitution, the glycerol stock may be stored at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
