Suitable for immunofluorescence microscopy, high-resolution fluorescence imaging, multiplex staining, indirect fluorescence detection in flow cytometry and related far-red fluorescence-based assays. The preservative- and protein-additive-free formulation may also be used for live-cell surface staining when the primary antibody recognizes an accessible extracellular epitope.

Target species
Rat
Description
ATTO-labeled secondary antibodies combine strong fluorescence output with high photostability and reliable performance in fluorescence-based detection. Donkey Anti-Rat IgG (H+L) ATTO700 is designed for the detection of rat primary antibodies in immunofluorescence microscopy, high-resolution fluorescence imaging, multiplex staining and related far-red fluorescence-based assays.
ATTO700 has an absorption maximum at 700 nm and a fluorescence maximum at 719 nm. The resulting Stokes shift is 19 nm and supports sensitive far-red fluorescence detection and effective spectral separation in appropriately configured multiplex imaging experiments.
Donkey Anti-Rat IgG (H+L) ATTO700 is antigen-specific; affinity purification removes essentially all donkey serum proteins, including immunoglobulins not specifically binding to rat IgG. The antibody is conjugated to ATTO700 and further purified by gel filtration.
The conjugate is supplied without preservatives or protein additives such as BSA. Gel filtration following dye conjugation removes unconjugated dye and low-molecular-weight reaction components. The preservative-free formulation supports sensitive fluorescence-based applications and may also be used for live-cell surface staining when the primary antibody recognizes an accessible extracellular epitope.
The antibody is supplied as 1.0 mg lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. A glycerol buffer is included for reconstitution to 2 mg/ml. After reconstitution, the glycerol stock may be stored at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
