Protein description
|
Actin from rabbit skeletal muscle is a single chain polypeptide with a molecular weight of 42kD consisting of 375 amino acids. Rhodamine-Actin is chemically modified G-actin by conugation of Cys374 with tetramethylrhodamine.
Rhodamine-Actin (λex 554nm, λem 590nm) is >99% pure according to scanning densitometry from Coomassie Blue G-250 stained PAA-Gels and possesses the polymerization properties equal to native G-actin. The dye/protein molar ratio was determined to be 0.5 : 1.
