Gelsolin protein, pure; Mw: 80kDa. Cytoplasmic and plasma-gelsolins are supplied as natively prepared, pure proteins. Gelsolins are readily soluble proteins, requiring Ca++ for activation. Gelsolins bind to the barbed ends of actin filaments, preventing exchange of monomers (capping).

Cytoplasmic and plasma-gelsolins are supplied as natively prepared, pure proteins. Gelsolins are readily soluble proteins, requiring Ca⁺⁺ for activation. Gelsolins bind to the barbed ends of actin filaments, preventing exchange of monomers (capping).
