TMR-Actin for high-concentration monomeric actin assays

Fluorescent G-actin covalently labeled with tetramethylrhodamine-5-maleimide at Cys374 for assays requiring stable monomeric actin.

TMR-Actin from Hypermol® is native G-actin covalently modified with tetramethylrhodamine-5-maleimide at Cys374. It is supplied as a ready-to-use, instantly soluble fluorescent actin reagent for experiments where polymerization must be avoided.

As supplied, TMR-Actin is tested to remain monomeric up to 20 mg/ml, enabling work at high G-actin concentrations that would otherwise promote filament formation.
