Protein description
|
G-actin from rabbit skeletal muscle is a single chain polypeptide with a molecular weight of 42kD consisting of 375 amino acids. TMR-Actin is chemically modified G-actin, carrying a tetramethlyrhodamine group covalently bound to Cys374 at the C-term of the molecule, rendering the actin unpolymerizable.
TMR actin is highly labelled to ensure the monomeric state of the TMR actin. We have validated TMR actin to be unpolymerizable up to concentrations of 25mg/ml.
