Monomeric actin-bundling protein

Fascin protein for tight actin bundle formation and protrusion research

Human recombinant, untagged Fascin for defined actin bundling, filopodia-like structures and migration-associated cytoskeleton assays.

Fascin is a monomeric actin-bundling protein that organizes parallel actin filaments into compact, mechanically reinforced bundles. With two actin-binding interfaces, Fascin is especially suited for building tightly packed filament arrays that resemble the structural core of filopodia, microspikes and other actin-rich protrusions.

Hypermol® Fascin is supplied as pure human recombinant untagged protein, amino acids 1-493, with a molecular mass of approximately 55 kDa and purity greater than 99%. It is useful for biochemical actin-bundling assays, reconstituted cytoskeleton systems and cell-biology workflows focused on protrusion formation, cell migration and invasive actin structures.

Tight actin bundles
Forms compact, parallel actin filament bundles for defined cytoskeletal architecture.
Protrusion biology
Relevant for filopodia, microspikes, invadopodia and migration-associated actin structures.
High purity protein
Human recombinant untagged Fascin with >99% purity for reproducible assays.

For actin-bundling assays
Use Fascin to convert actin filaments into tightly packed bundles and to analyze how protein concentration, filament density and buffer conditions shape bundle morphology.
For migration and invasion research
Fascin is highly relevant for studying actin-rich protrusions that support cell movement, matrix interaction and invasive behavior.
For reconstituted cytoskeleton systems
Combine Fascin with actin, capping proteins, nucleators or membrane-associated factors to model protrusive actin architectures in vitro.
Strong experimental use cases
Build tight parallel actin bundles from purified components.
Model filopodia-like actin cores in vitro.
Analyze bundle stiffness, spacing and filament packing.
Compare Fascin-driven bundling with α-actinin-mediated cross-linking.
Study migration-associated protrusion mechanics.
Investigate invasive actin structures such as invadopodia.
