Chemically modified fluorescent G-actin for the analysis of actin-monomer interactions and ligand-dependent actin behavior.

NBD-Actin from Hypermol® is chemically modified G-actin for fluorimetric analysis of actin interactions. The conjugate is prepared by NEM-modification of G-actin followed by covalent NBD labeling at Lys372 near the C-terminal region of actin.

NBD-actin is an alternative fluorescent actin tool for assays focusing on actin-monomer interactions, binding events and conformational or ligand-induced changes that can be monitored by fluorescence readout.
