Calmodulin protein for Ca²⁺-dependent regulation and actomyosin signaling

A pure, highly conserved Ca²⁺-binding protein for smooth-muscle regulation, kinase workflows and calcium-dependent cytoskeleton assays.

Calmodulin is one of the central calcium signal translators in eukaryotic cells. Its characteristic helix-turn-helix EF-hand motifs bind Ca²⁺ and trigger conformational changes that allow Calmodulin to regulate a broad spectrum of target proteins, including enzymes, channels, cytoskeletal regulators and contractility-associated factors.

Hypermol® Calmodulin is suited for biochemical workflows where Ca²⁺-dependent regulation must be studied under defined conditions. It is especially useful for assays involving smooth-muscle contraction, actin-associated regulation, calmodulin-dependent kinases, myosin light-chain kinase pathways and calcium-controlled protein interactions.

Ca²⁺ sensing
EF-hand motifs translate calcium binding into regulatory protein interactions.
Smooth-muscle regulation
Supports studies of calcium-controlled contraction and actomyosin-associated pathways.
Kinase workflows
Useful for Calmodulin-dependent enzyme regulation and signaling assays.

For calcium-regulated assays
Use Calmodulin to switch or tune protein interactions under defined Ca²⁺ conditions and to analyze calcium-dependent activation mechanisms.
For actomyosin research
Calmodulin is relevant for workflows studying smooth-muscle contraction, myosin light-chain kinase regulation and actin-associated contractile control.
For signaling and interaction studies
Because Calmodulin regulates many target proteins, it is a versatile tool for probing calcium-dependent binding, enzyme activation and signaling pathways.
Strong experimental use cases
