Protein description
|
G-actin from rabbit skeletal muscle is a single chain polypeptide with a molecular weight of 42kD consisting of 375 amino acids. NBD-Actin is a two-step chemically modified G-actin. The first modification step results in NEM-actin (N-ethylmaleimide actin). Subsequent covalent conjugation of 4-Chloro-7-Nitrobenz-2-Oxa-1,3-Diazole (NBD) to Lys372 yields green fluorescent NBD-Actin.
