Adenosine-5'-monophosphate (AMP) is used to study energy storage and metabolism in vivo. Proteins like actin and myosin have a functional ATPase activity, where AMP is used for analysis.

Quantity

Powder: 100mM AMP, 20mM Hepes titrated with NaOH to pH 7.4. Sterile filtered before freeze-drying. Weigh into the tube 1.0 g of ultrapure H₂O, corresponding to 1.0 µl ultrapure H₂O, to obtain a fresh 100mM stock solution.

Storage instructions

AMP is stored at –20°C upon arrival. The product will be stable in performance for at least 1 year from the date of purchase. Solubilized AMP can be aliquoted and stored at -70°C for use within 3 months. Thawed aliquots should be used within 1 week. Avoid refreezing.
