Adenosine-5'-diphosphate (ADP) is used to study energy storage and metabolism in vivo. Proteins like actin and myosin have a functional ATPase activity, where ADP is used for analysis.

The 100 mM ADP stock solution is pre-adjusted to pH 7.4 for optimal stability. Adding 250 µL of ultrapure water yields a stable and ready-to-use stock solution. This pre-adjusted formulation ensures consistent pH, preserving the quality of ADP and eliminating the need for additional pH adjustments or titration

Quantity

2x 100mM ADP, 20mM Hepes titrated with NaOH to pH 7.4. Sterile filtered prior to freeze-drying. Weigh directly into the tube 250mg of ultrapure H₂O, corresponding to 250µl ultrapure H₂O, to obtain a fresh 100mM stock solution.

Storage instructions

ADP powder is stored at –20°C upon arrival. The product will be stable in performance for at least 1 year from the date of purchase. Solubilized ADP can be aliquoted and stored at -70°C for use within 3 months. Thawed aliquots should be used within 1 week. Avoid refreezing.
