Applications
Applications
Fluorescent, polymerization-competent non-muscle β/γ-actin for fluorescence microscopy, FRET, fluorescence spectroscopy, filament tracking and biochemical actin assays.
Description
Product name
ATTO390-Actin
Protein
Non-muscle β/γ-actin, porcine brain.
Molecular mass
42 kDa.
Product description
ATTO390-Actin is chemically modified porcine brain non-muscle G-actin carrying covalently attached ATTO390 fluorescent groups on lysine residues. The protein is prepared from non-muscle β/γ-actin isolated from porcine brain.
Non-muscle actin from brain is a mixture of β- and γ-actin isoforms. Both isoforms are single-chain polypeptides of approximately 42 kDa consisting of 375 amino acids. ATTO390-Actin is designed for fluorescence-based actin assays and provides a defined fluorescent signal while retaining the polymerization properties required for actin-based biochemical workflows.
ATTO390 is covalently attached to lysine residues of non-muscle G-actin.
Degree of labelling
This product is supplied with a degree of labelling (DOL) between 0.5 and 0.8.
