PolyMix 6 is used to polymerize G-actin solutions at pH 6.0, dilute F-actin or actin ligands. The buffer contains all components essential for the biological activity of actin. 

Overview

PolyMix is used to:

• facilitate ligand binding to F-actin at pH 6.0;
• polymerize G-actin to F-actin;
• support the F-actin state;
• prevent denaturing of actin;

Buffer

Powder to make 1.0ml of a 10x actin polymerization buffer. Including 1M KCl, 10mM ATP, 20mM MgCl2. Buffer: MES pH 6.0.
The buffer is added1:10 v/v to actin solutions.
