Description
Ready-to-use solution for the reversible staining of nitrocellulose membranes after protein transfer by blotting techniques. Ponceau S solution is a reliable, widely used staining solution. The solution is poured under light agitation onto the blot sheet, placed in a plastic tray.
Nitrocellulose bound proteins are stained by the Ponceau dye and subsequently the protein bands become clearly visible. The stain is used to vizualize the successful protein transfer, or staining of protein bands e.g. to be excised for further processing.
